I like to read in the winter in my office but it can get quite cold there in the wintertime.
I plan on buying a small radiant heater for the office as there is no vent in the room because it was added on recently and they couldn’t run the ductwork to that part of the flat.
It is very tight in this building with space and adding on a room was no easy task and we had no space at all to run an extra duct so I will need to find an alternate plan. I’m going to go down to the local business this week and see what kind of space heaters they have for sale. It is still late summer and they usually have sales on heaters and furnaces right about now so I am going to visit the store this week and hopefully get one. I can spend about $500 max on a unit, which should be enough to get a decent one that will heat my small office. The heating contractor is also a friend of mine and he knows which one is best for me and may even have it delivered for free as I live on the fifth floor of a building with no elevator. I don’t know if I have the strength to carry a space heater up five flights of stairs so maybe they will help me out. I think there is an HVAC tech there that can get it up to my flat with no problem as he is a powerlifter and bodybuilder.
