After paying way too much for far too long, I decided to get with the times and buy a smart thermostat.
Smart thermostats, or programmable thermostats – whatever you choose to call them – are all the rage in this town.
Everybody wants one. As a matter of fact, people have been hurrying to get them so hastily that one heating and air conditioning contractor cannot keep up with the demand. At this store, the thermostats are literally flying off the shelves! The moment they get them in stock, they are gone; it does not take long for them to be sold out! It has gotten so bad that there are long lines now at the store. I went to the heating and air conditioner businesses when the trucks arrived, resupplying these modern thermostats. The reason everybody is so eager to buy them is because they are a great way to save energy, and all the cool people have them. So, of course everybody wants one! Smart thermostats are not only muchmore convenient, but they are the latest technology – the way of the future – and who would not want that over the old stuff? A couple of weeks into my quest, I was able to buy one. Let me tell you, now that I have one I could never go back to having an ordinary thermostat! I cannot get over the convenience of being able to control the temperature in my home from anywhere! That’s pretty amazing technology, if you ask me.
