I never knew going on a winter vacation would be so much fun.
As a kid, my parents had to work hard and save to ensure we at least went on one vacation per year. This was always a summer time vacation when my siblings and I were home from school. This continued until we were adults and at liberty to do as we pleased. Last year, my sisters and I had the idea to switch things up and go on a winter vacation. We wanted to go skiing which would be our first experience with this activity. We booked this ski resort that had amazing cabins that would fit all of us and packed for the trip. Upon arrival, it was a frigid evening so we were happy the resort had excellent heating systems. We had to spend some time at the reception before being shown to our cabin where we got to experience the radiant heated floors. We were all hoping even the cabin had the same radiant heated floors that made the space so cozy. After a long wait, I had to go and ask why check in was taking so long. The lady at the reception desk apologized and said an HVAC worker was in our cabin. Apparently something was wrong with the radiant heated flooring in our cabin. She asked us to be a little patient as the HVAC worker took a look and fixed the issue. We got some complementary hot drinks as we waited for the HVAC repair to be complete and we could finally see our cabin. The wait was worth it since the cabin felt just as cozy as the wait area when we got to it.
