There was a fishing tournament last weekend and I really wanted to enter the tournament.
I told my boss a couple of weeks ago about the Anglers convention… He promised to give me the day off so I could go.
When the schedule for Heating and Air Conditioning repair specialists came out at the start of the week, my name was on the schedule for Sunday. I politely reminded my boss that I advised that day off. He legitimately forgot that I made the request and he had me stressed to help with a commercial Heating and Air Conditioning replacement task. He told me that he would find someone else to work their shift, however the schedule reMained the same throughout the week, and on Sunday day I asked the boss if he found someone to work on Sunday. He had not found anyone, so I was going to work the task and cancel the tournament. I didn’t have much occasion of winning anyways and I figured the boss gave me a $100 bill which was the cost of my tournament entry fee. I told the boss on Sunday day not to worry about the task. I would be there bright and early on Sunday. That’s when he informed me that he already found someone to take care of the task. He thanked me for being a team player and then he reached into his pocket and gave me $45. He told me to put that towards my entry fee and consider it a bonus. I have to admit that his act of generosity really surprised me.
