I didn’t know the AC sounded like it was working right

My Mom grabbed his tools & took the front of the a/c off.

I was visiting with our mom on Monday & the multiple of us were resting in the residing room discussing some shows that the multiple of us saw on television the previous day. It was kind of boiling outside & the a/c in the residing room was running. My mom & Mom do not have central a/c, because it’s not absolutely necessary. They live on a hill where there is a constant breeze & they live in a weather conditions where summertime rapidly changing temperatures are never higher than 90 degrees. The residing room a/c was running simply because I was feeling warm. I started talking to our mom about the television show that I saw on the previous night & I heard the a/c make a strain, hiccup sound. I told our mom that the a/c made a different sound & he told myself and others that everything was perfectly fine. I forgot about the hiccup sound until 15 minutes later when the a/c started blowing boiling air. I told our mom that I knew I heard a sound, then he turned off the a/c & told our Mom to come upstairs. He was downstairs working on some concern in the basement. My Mom grabbed his tools & took the front of the a/c off. He started moving some things around & he found multiple electrical switches in the back of the machine. He crossed the wires & there was a small electrical spark. Two or 3 minutes later, the air started to get cooler. I don’t assume what our Mom did to the machine, however it’s really a fire hazard.
