Injured on the job

If you work in the HVAC industry then you know that working with any kind of machinery can be potentially risky. I’ve always prided myself on being very careful, after all the last thing I want is to be electrocuted when working on a heating and cooling system in a customer’s backyard. However despite my carefulness I still managed to wind up injured. It was disappointing considering I have been working as a heating and cooling technician for over 10 years now and I’ve never had any injuries, but I suppose it’s the first time for everything and now my time had come. It started when I went over to their house and they had a heating and AC system set up on the upper floor. As I was making my way up the stairs to get to their heating and AC system I tripped and fell down the stairs. I got hurt pretty bad, and I was so unhappy when I was out of work because I really enjoy my job. But I eventually learn to relax and enjoy the time off. Thankfully the doctor said that I would make a full recovery in no time but I just needed a lot of bed rest. I started to really enjoy it, I had my window air conditioner next to me, and my wife who would serve me pizza and anything else I wanted. Life was good. I had broken a couple of bones in my leg and so it would take over a month for me to be able to go back to work. But when the time did come I found myself regretting it a little bit. And one way I was excited to go back to the job, as after all I found a lot of satisfaction in my work. But I have to admit I will miss laying around and being lazy.
