If you actually work in the HVAC equipment industry then you certainly understand that working with any kind of machinery can be pretty risky.
- I have regularly prided myself on being especially careful, after all the last thing I want is to be hurt when working on a heating & cooling system in a customer’s backyard… However despite my complete carefulness I still managed to wind up hurt at work.
It was pretty wild considering I have been working as a heating & cooling serviceman for roughly a decade now & I have never had any injuries. I suppose there is certainly a first time for everything & now it was my time. It started when I went over to their property & they had a heating & A/C system set up on the upper floor! As I was making my way up the stairs to get to their heating & A/C equipment I tripped & fell down the stairs. I got hurt pretty bad, & I was so disappointed when I was out of the job because I enjoy my job a great deal. I eventually was able to relax a little & enjoy the time off… Happily the health professional said that I would recover in no time but I just needed a lot of bed rest. I started to enjoy it every single day. I had my window cooling equipment next to me, & my wifey who would serve me food & anything I wanted for the most part, and life was good. I had broken a couple of bones in my leg & so it would take approximately a month for me to go back to work. But when the time did come I found myself regretting it somewhat. I was somewhat enthusiastic to go back to the job, as after all I found a lot of satisfaction in my work. But I definitely will miss my lazy days.
