Writing is certainly one of my most enjoyed passions.
I honestly have a lot of hobbies, yes— everything from making leather bound books to beating my peers in chess to playing the violin— however writing has basically always been, and consistently will be, my utmost favorite way to spend my time.
In fact, I’m even in the process of writing a novel. Novel writing has been treating me well, as I like sitting down at my desk and seeing my ideas spring to life. In my eyes, there is nothing more awesome than seeing the story I have dreamed of seemingly unfold itself in one sizable document. However, there is only one thing that can prevent me from being productive when it comes to writing: horrendous heating and A/C… We definitely all understand how crucial heating and A/C are to comfort, especially in the weeks when uneven temperatures are at their most drastic. With that in mind, it is essentially impossible for me to concentrate and write my novel in a frosty room during the middle of frigid months, or a sweltering hot room during the middle of the summer season. If our gas heating appliance is broken during winter, I might as well say goodbye to writing for that afternoon altogether. After all, how would I be able to concentrate on getting words out while shivering and chattering like a mad man? At that point, our gas furnace would be needed to make myself and others feel cozy enough to focus on writing. The same goes for needing an A/C appliance during the summer. I don’t believe anyone could actually write something that they’re delighted with while in an uncomfortably overheated room with a broken A/C appliance in summer. All in all, I couldn’t be more thankful that I have a room with excellent Heating, Ventilation, and A/C to write my actual novel in!
