Didn’t take much for me to save on air conditioner last summer

The heat pump is quiet now.

During winter, all of us honestly don’t hear much from the heat pump.

Our winters are pretty heavenly and all of us rarely need much if any heating from the heat pump. But the opposite is true for the summer. Actually, the heat pump starts kicking on with Heating and Air Conditioning cooling in early Springtime. But the real work is to be done between June and September. That’s when the heat and humidity are peaking. That means temperatures that stick right near the triple digits. The same goes for the humidity. And this combination can be a staggering duo to deal with. For years, I just paid the energy bills in the summer time and hated it. But this past summer time was different. For the first time since moving to this region, I decided to get a plan together to save on Heating and Air Conditioning cooling costs. Turns out that it honestly didn’t take all that much effort to do just that. The first thing I did was to get the air conditioner tune-up from the Heating and Air Conditioning supplier. That makes the heat pump run as efficiently as possible. Then, I tightened up the apartment with up-to-date weather stripping and sealing spots that were leaking Heating and Air Conditioning cooling. I covered all the windows that get direct sunlight heating and then programmed the temperature control. That was the only thing that was a bit tough to get accustomed to. But I did get used to the apartment being in the low 78’s while in the afternoon and it also ended up saving my hundreds of dollars in Heating and Air Conditioning cooling costs.
