I have lived in the more northern reaches of the country our entire life so I suppose all about Winter weather as well as dealing with the realities of heating a home.

The Winter is indeed strenuous however I’d far rather deal with the weather here than have to deal with all the air conditioner down south. Not taking anything away from that region because I prefer to holiday there to get a break from the gas oil furnace each winter. Still, I’ll stick with winters up here. I prefer having a pale white Christmas. And the two of us are all into outdoor Winter sports like skiing, hockey as well as snowshoeing. Still, I suppose what it’s like to have no heating for a few afternoons so I’m unquestionably grateful for the consistent HVAC heating I get from the gas oil furnace. The gas oil furnace I had before this a single conked out on our as well as I had to wait afternoons, due to a snow storm, before an HVAC professional could get to me. But thankfully, that was before I got my children and I was able to strenuous it out. Still, I now have a back up in the wood stove I had put in. What’s more, it’s kind of nice to have the wood stove as supplemental heating when it particularly gets cold. But with a bit of preparation, including HVAC maintenance, the winter’s are not only manageable but particularly enjoyable. So even when I retire, I don’t suppose I’ll be trading our gas oil furnace for a heat pump.
