When I took apart our first a/c, I didn’t guess that I was taking a glimpse into our future; My father was the handyman for a local hotel at the time, and I would spend a lot of time at work with him.
Every one of us didn’t have money for a sitter ,or afternoon care, so after school I just went to the hotel with him and carried her tools around.
Sporadically I got to watch cartoons in the room as she did her repairs, so overall it wasn’t too bad. One of the tasks she hated the most was working on the a/cs in the rooms, because it seemed savor they broke down all the time. One afternoon I told our dad that the maids should check the air filters in the A/C units whenever they cleaned a room. She asked myself and others why I said that, and I replied that the main cause of the a/cs overheating was due to blocked up air filters. If the maids checked and changed the air filters respectfully, then there wouldn’t be so much building up dust and dirt, and there would be fewer A/C concerns. My dad passed the air filter plan on to the management, who implemented it and provided our dad a raise! Since the air filter plan had been mine, she took myself and others out for ice cream, and told myself and others that she wanted to start teaching myself and others a lot more about Heating and A/C systems. She knew I was smart, and that reading the Heating and A/C trade would give myself and others a enjoyable future.
