The hotel fixed our air conditioner as soon as we saw it had an issue

We never got to go on as many vacations as we used to before the kids.

My wife and I felt it was better to take them with us whenever we got the chance to go somewhere.

But, that had to change since we needed time alone. We were both busy and had three small children to raise. All the strain was affecting our relationship, and I didn’t want us to separate. So, I arranged a surprise for my wife last summer. I spoke to my mom about my plan and asked her to come to stay with the kids for a week. I knew my wife was going on leave during that period and did the same. The plan was to travel for a few days to a hotel she’d been talking about for some time. The hotel was quite luxurious and had an excellent spa. I made the bookings and surprised her with the reservations one morning when my mom showed up at our front door. My wife was so happy and packed faster than I’d ever seen her do. We drove to the hotel, checked in, and went straight to our room. As we were unpacking, we noticed the space was warm. That was not okay since it was hot outside, and we wanted proper air conditioning. My wife checked the thermostat, which had an error message on it. We got on the phone and spoke to the front desk about the faulty air conditioner. The front desk attendant apologized and sent over an HVAC expert to check out the cooling system. The HVAC expert was a lovely lady who apologized for the inconvenience and fixed the AC thermostat.
