Jack was in for a shock after moving to stay with a friend in a new location.
All his life, he’d endured months of snow followed by a little summer break.
He’d never lived in an area where it was so hot for most of the year. His best friend from high school had launched a great business and offered Jack a position. They were catching up one day, and Jack happened to mention he wanted a different experience. He packed his things, moved in with his friend for several months, then bought a house of his own. It was such a lovely home in the best locale and came with a backyard. Jack had to purchase a new air conditioner for the house and have the ductwork fixed. On top of that, the AC required ductwork to have better insulation. For all that work, Jack hired an HVAC company in the city to come and install the new unit. They had excellent reviews and had even installed the cooling system at his friend’s house. Jack also got an HVAC repair and service plan from them. The AC technician came to Jack’s new home the next day to check it out and suggest the right AC size. During the evaluation, he noted all the work on the duct. Jack got a quote for the new unit and worked at the end. The price was a bit high, but Jack understood. In addition, the HVAC technician encouraged Jack to plant some shrubs around the area with the outdoor HVAC to protect it from dust and debris.
