What are the signs of poor air quality and how to fix it?

I remember last fall, I was making cookies with the family in the kitchen when I noticed the top counters were quite dusty. I was surprised because I had just cleaned the counters a few days ago. As I put my kids to bed later that night I noticed that their bedrooms were dusty as well. I did not think too much of it since my kids were not the cleanest. I noticed that the temperature control was also not functioning well. I could set the temperature for the bedroom then after a while the temperature would reset. I remember from the homeowner’s solutions that these are the signs of poor air quality. I wondered if my air purification system was malfunctioning. The HVAC zone control unit was functioning well but it needs a quality tune-up. I contacted the HVAC tech to come to check on the air purifier as well as do a tune-up for the unit. The HVAC provider also came with a dozen filters when I explained my issue. He advised that my HVAC ducts were clogged with all sorts of debris and that is why the quality of air had drastically reduced. The HVAC professional started with the air duct cleaning process. Duct cleaning involved the air quality systems and the HVAC systems. I realized that I had not had the vents cleaned from when the HVAC installation was done a couple of years back. The experts recommended that in order to keep the unit functioning optimally, the vents should be cleaned at least after one to two years. A few days after vent cleaning, I noticed that the air was fresher and the house was not as dusty as it would have been before.
