As students at the technical college, the teacher had planned a trip to the homeowner solutions organization. We were HVAC tech students and visiting a company that dealt in HVAC products would really help us understand the fundamentals better. At the organization, we got to see firsthand the HVAC installation process. Here I learned the several steps involved in the process. The last one being the most important. The last step to this process was verifying that all was done properly. For the HVAC zone control unit, the process was even more straightforward than the previous one. Maybe it was because the HVAC professional made the process seem simple. At the organization, we also got to witness the air duct cleaning process and this was the biggest surprise. Duct cleaning means that the HVAC duct as well as other sensitive parts of the unit. This cleaning process was important for the air purification system that was used to increase the air quality within any space. The latter is the one which takes a lot of time. We got to ask the HVAC provider questions about the different units that he dealt with. Air quality systems such as an air purifier do a lot of good for the occupants of a certain building. We also got to see some of the HVAC accessories like the temperature controls. There were very different types of thermostats including a smart thermostat. We really enjoyed the trip and I got to understand what we had been studying in class. Later, our guide let us roam around the organization further inspecting the units as well as controls.
