The internet is literally a lifesaver.
Today there is so much information online that if you are not using it to your benefit, then you are losing out on a lot. There are numerous how-to videos on the internet that literally show each step on how to do anything under the sun. Since I live in the digital age, I make sure to use it to my advantage. Last year I resolved to learn more about heating through the internet. I also watched a lot of videos on how to do DIY upgrades on my quality HVAC equipment. I feel like a certified heating technician because I know a lot more about quality heating than I did about a year ago. At least now I can change the filter of the gas furnace all on my own. I also upgraded my regulator to a wifi thermostat and was able to digitally connect my units including the geo heat pump to one regulator. New HVAC systems are always challenging to operate because you are not used to how it works, however, a few videos will have you feeling like you can open your heating business. One thing I have learned is that I could learn as much as I want from the internet but I would still need assistance with the thorough heater maintenance and the boiler repairs. Last winter, I managed to repair a component that had malfunctioned, though I called the heating dealer to assess the issue, I had done a good job on the boiler. At this rate, I might even look for a job at homeowner solutions as it seems like I know too much about heating. I’m glad this information has bailed me out a couple of times before.
