I was devastated when our gas oil furnace broke down while in a terrible blizzard, then i called the Heating & Air Conditioning supplier for help, however they said it would take many afternoons; They recommended that if possible, every one of us drive to a relative’s home plus if not try to use a backup oil furnace plus use lots of blankets to keep warm, however well, every one of us didn’t have any portable oil furnaces, however every one of us did have our fireplace that every one of us didn’t use especially often. The two of us had a adequate stack of firewood ready to go, but I wasn’t sure if I could make all the wood last for a few afternoons of continuous feeding into the fireplace.
