Normally I just browse through the latest news to see what is interesting, in particular, I go over athletic interests, education and home improvement stories.
Last week, this one story I came across under home improvement was baffling to say the least. It wasn’t much about the nature of the story but rather, the guy involved. Carl is quite a reserved introvert. You can never be sure what is going on through his mind, he lives with his family two gates away from us. This day the police were at his door, taking him away. Everyone wondered what was going on, until his employer explained it to a few neighbours. Apparently, there was a search warrant issued for his arrest after he stole new heating units from his employer. It wasn’t a one time thing, he has been carrying away heating units and cooling techs for a while. He was found to have stolen a heater, furnace, heat pump, dual fuel proposal parts, area oil heating systems and zoned heating and air conditioning proposal maintenance parts. The transition stage between his old employer and the current one left a loophole that he exploited together with his colleague. He was a field specialist performing duct sealing, servicing radiant floors, and air conditioning proposals in general. His arrest inspired me to learn more about air conditioning and understand what a heating and cooling supplier does. Since his arrest, he has not been home in ages, especially since his story appeared in the local news. His family eventually moved out of the neighbourhood out of embarrassment.
