I like catching up with the latest news on the web when I have some free time. Normally, I just browse through the latest news to see what is interesting. I go over athletic activities, education and home improvement stories. Last week, this one story I came across under home improvement was baffling to say the least. It wasn’t much about the nature of the story but rather, the man involved. Carl is quite a reserved introvert. You can never be sure what is going on through his mind. He lives with her family several gates away from us, and this afternoon the police were at his door, taking him away! Everyone wondered what was going on, until his work manager explained it to a few neighbours. Apparently, there was a search warrant issued for his arrest after he stole heating units from his manager. It wasn’t a one time thing. He has been carrying away heating components and cooling techs for a while. He was found to have stolen a heater, gas furnace, heat pump, dual fuel system parts, space furnaces and zoned heating and A/C system repair parts. The transition phase between his old manager and the new one left a loophole that he exploited together with his colleague. He was a HVAC professional performing duct sealing, servicing radiant floors, and a/c in general. His arrest inspired me to learn more about a/c and understand what a heating and cooling corporation does. Since his arrest, he hasn’t been home in ages, especially since his story appeared in the local news. His family eventually moved out of the neighbourhood out of embarrassment.
