Tenant took me to court for ADA compliant upgrades

I honestly hate having a renter that regularly complains.

For the past year, I have been engaged in a court battle with one of the residents that lives in our apartment building.

I actually own the apartment building. My mother gave me the piece of property as a present for my 30th birthday. The apartment building is straight across the street from a park in addition to it has several different units. The apartments on the bottom floor mostly have one bedroom each. The higher apartments all have a few bedrooms in each of them. I moved an up-to-date renter into one of the several bedroom apartments. The guy in addition to his bestie has children to watch. Things were actually fine when they moved into the apartment. A week after they signed the lease, they started to whine about the apartment. They made a single request after another. Some items I repaired in addition to others I had to refuse. The renter moved into the building knowing that the cabinets in addition to counters were cracked in addition to chipped. When I started to refuse some of the requests, the renter got the court involved. This person filed a lawsuit against me for not providing ADA compliant upgrades in the apartment. The court made me get everything upgraded in the dwelling that was not up to ADA code. I was essentially forced to hire a general business to handle all of the ADA upgrades. The general contractor that I hired was very knowledgeable with ADA upgrades. The guy easily completed all of the construction work in a matter of days. Happily the worker was cheerful to supply us a sweet deal on the services.
