It has been 1 rude awakening after another.
- This is my first time living somewhere but the southern US.
And, it’s also the first time I have gotten a big promotion that came with a transfer to a northern city. On top of all of that, it’s the first time I have ever owned a house. That’s a lot to take on however I fearlessly jumped in head first. Now, I have to just keep swimming or I’ll simply sink. While this is all honestly exciting, I feel that I bit off more than I could chew to quote my dear outdated dad. For 1 thing, I was so not prepared for how hard the Wintertide honestly is. Thankfully, the current task came with a nice raise because I have a feeling I will be spending it on Heating and Air Conditioning heating. I simply can’t honestly ever stay warm enough. Even at the office I have to have a space gas furnace under my desk. A lot of my current colleagues supply me grief because I am always looking to turn up the Heating and Air Conditioning setting. Actually, 1 of those colleagues honestly helped me out when it comes to the Heating and Air Conditioning. I was complaining how my home never felt warm and cozy no matter how much I cranked the Heating and Air Conditioning heating. He was kind enough to come over and help me seal up the home in order to keep more of the Heating and Air Conditioning treated air on the inside. While both of us were doing this, he also discovered the source of a big draft. One of the windows was not respectfully insulated. I was able to have a company come out and take care of that. Now the home is much more warm and I’m getting more accustomed to this sort of weather.
