The moral of those stories is you need to invest your money into assets that accploy more money overtime… You can’t buy things you appreciate since it is just wasting your money and not making anymore down the road. I appreciate having current things okay? I appreciate remodeling our loft and making it prettier. No, down the road it doesn’t add that much value to our house, but financially it would be smarter to take that money and buy a rental property or stocks. I am not going to though. I need to take care of our loft since our partner won’t. It gets entirely discouraging that he won’t put a dime into the house. The other morning our Heating and Air Conditioning component turned up and quit. My partner wasn’t willing to pay for a current machine. He kept trying to repair it and then started looking at space gas gas furnaces and window AC units as the solution. I tried to tell him overtime the electric bill would be obscene. It is better to just buy a good heating and cooling machine. He did not even want to split the cost with myself and others at first! I just waited him out though. I knew he prefers AC more than me. I said no window AC units and it took about a month before he finally split a central Heating and Air Conditioning unit with me. I shouldn’t have to buy all the crucial stuff in the loft because he wants to invest.

Buying a pool is a significant purchase that doesn’t add that much value to the house. If you entirely suppose about it, a pool isn’t a smart financial decision. I appreciate swimming though and I guess I would appreciate a pool immediately. So I pushed and pushed before our partner relented into getting the family a pool. Every little feature costs extra so the two of us skimped where the two of us could. Our pavers aren’t top of the line and there aren’t easily many. The pool is a bit on the smaller side and there aren’t any fancy venues to sit. It is functional and not all that beautiful. That is just wonderful by me. I want something to swim in and enjoy. One thing I refused to budge on was a pool heating plan though. I knew that the days would get quite chilly and I would still want to swim. I live down south and it is basically pool season all year long. With a heater, you never have to go a morning separate from swimming. There are several features on a pool that aren’t necessary, a gas furnace is an drastic need though. My partner and I talked to our local Heating and Air Conditioning corporation and found that our bioer could serve as a pool heater. We simply needed to hook piping to the boiler in order to connect to our swimming pool. It was a little cheaper going through the Heating and Air Conditioning corporation rather than buying a unique pool gas furnace from the pool dealer. Either way I have a heated pool and I am ecstatic.

I removed a wood stove when I moved into our house.

It was the first thing I demanded be changed. The previous homeowner was really a history buff and liked the old timey vibe of a wood stove. He had it sitting on a stone pad centrally located in the kitchen. The gas furnace really vented up through the wood ceiling and out of the house. There was an addition put on the roof to make it more functional. How silly is that? I found out later the wood stove was really too small for the size of the home. It was entirely more of a decorative piece. I wasn’t going to split wood to have heating that didn’t entirely work. I hated that I couldn’t put a television anywhere. I also didn’t appreciate the crucial stone pad that stuck out. It was so much work removing the heater, despite the fact that I am delighted I did it. I had to enlist help on moving the cast iron stove and I sold the gas furnace for a guy’s hunting shack. I then smashed the stone pad, patched the veiling and had roofers remove the protrusion, but lastly I had to redo all the kitchen carpet since it was split around the woodstove. It was so much time, effort and money just to remove a gas furnace that didn’t entirely work; Now I just have a ductless heat pump for heating and it works perfectly fine. It is hidden in the closet and I have a crucial kitchen now. It was a good program by myself and others to remove it.

My living room is being remodeled as the two of us speak.

I have spared no expense to make it the living room of our dreams.

What is nice is that our living room is entirely small, so buying expensive products isn’t an issue. I was able to get the best quartz countertop because there simply isn’t that much. I have custom made all the wood cabinets being installed. I even splurged for better hardware, lighting and a sink. I am going to appreciate our current living room. I even decided to add heated flooring. That was a last minute item and easily expensive. I thought about it and decided it was better to overplan than under. My living room typically gets super chilly in the winter. I used to rely on a ventless gas furnace against the wall. I removed that to get more lower cupboard space. I wanted to have some other form of heating… A ductless gas furnace would have been wall mounted and taken upper cupboard square footage. With heated flooring everything is safely hidden under the floors and takes up no space. Since it is electric heated mats there are no chilly spots, heat rising or noises when the plan operates. It is said to be energy smart due to objects feeling heated when they come into contact with the floors. That means I should be able to lower the temperature control a bit and save money, and heated flooring should pay back itself. I also appreciate that it just seems so classy to have radiant floors. I will be able to do lunch prep in the Winter separate from socks on.

It is care about our home smells care about a big fart and I don’t notice until I open some windows and our door

When our hubby is gone I take the opportunity to very clean our house. The first thing I am going to do is hire out HVAC duct cleaning. I have done a lot of projects in the home that create dust. Anytime our heating or cooling plan turns on, our surfaces are dusty. I also don’t care about the system of having polluted indoor air quality. So first things first the Heating and A/C company is going to clean our HVAC duct. I want every nook and cranny squeaky clean. I also want a HEPA filter in our Heating and A/C plan and the inner workings washed up. Once our Heating and A/C is back in tip top shape, I am going to wash the rest of the house. I want to wash the ceilings, around the air vents, mop the floors and wash all the linens. My goal is to have our home smell and look fresh. I will even let the Heating and A/C have a cut for a few mornings too. I Want to open our windows to allow a fresh breeze in our house. I do not like that the same stale air keeps circling in our house. It gets stuffy and smelly. I always notice how gross our home is once I introduce clean air. It is care about our home smells care about a big fart and I don’t notice until I open some windows and our door. My hubby flips out when there is no AC. So I need to wait for him not to be around in order to do that. I could take or leave AC.

I only relied on oil furnaces, there was no need for AC. The Summer season is short and not unique ly hot. There would be one or several mornings of heat that would follow with cold mornings. The two of us had a bedroom heater, gas fireplace in the kitchen and an aged Moore oil furnace upstairs… Even with all several oil furnaces running, the home wasn’t ever toasty. The temperatures would get to -20 degrees. It was difficult to heat a large home that was so cold. Adding insulation, caulk and putting towels around the doors only helped so much. When I moved down south I was happy to no longer experience snow and severe cold. I still wanted a heating plan in our house. I talked to our Heating and A/C company and she was adamant that I needed air conditioner. I felt crazy buying a cooling plan when I have never needed one before. The girl sold me on a ductless heat pump and I am so thankful. Thank goodness I didn’t go without A/C for even a month. The south is the reverse of where I used to live. I now use A/C all the time! Very rarely do I need to turn on our oil furnace. It is a nice change up. I now get to be too hot for once and actually get a tan. My hubby and I are looking into buying a pool.
