Fixing our car

I had some problems with our car the other month plus I had to take it in to get fixed; When I did, I found that there was an additional issue that I was not even aware of.

I just want to be warm and cozy, but to do this, I must have a fine furnace in our home, then i have tried several odd furnaces over the years, and I have only liked a few of the furnaces that I have tried… Once, when I was desperate to find a fine furnace quickly but couldn’t find a single, I had to use more than one portable space gas furnaces in our home office that night so I was warm enough, then the furnace I have now is run by a hot water boiler furnace, and I like it truly much, while our hot water boiler does keep our apartment at the warm temperature that I want it to, I like our home office to be a little extra warm at night so I put a small portable space gas furnace in there to help keep me cozy while I sleep; My mom is just like me in that she has to have the perfect furnace in here house, although she takes it farther than I do and even says she has to have the perfect central air conditioner, media air purification system, and even smart control unit to keep her comfortable in her home.

I remember when I was growing up, our siblings and I hated it when our mom needed to go to the heating and cooling supplier because the two of us knew she would be shopping in the heating and cooling store for hours trying to find a new media air purification system, furnace, or air conditioner, after about more than one hours of searching for the right a single, our mom would finally come out of the heating and cooling supplier with a small air conditioner or sometimes just a simple air filter for our air conditioner at home.

I remember when I was younger, my parents didn’t have much money.

Even though they didn’t have much money, they did everything they could to give my siblings and I a great life.

Right now, I have a loving family and a secure job, so I would say they did a great job. But, there were some things I didn’t have back then, that I am making sure that my kids have now. One of those was an air conditioning system. We once had an HVAC unit, but when it broke, my parents couldn’t afford an A/C installation fee. Because of this, summer became a real issue. In winter, we usually just wore jackets and other warm clothes, but it’s a lot harder to cool off when you’re hot. This led to a lot of fighting between my siblings and I, as we would fight for things such as the shower, hose and kiddie pool, anything to stay cool. Believe it or not, those fights could get pretty brutal, as I had one of my teeth knocked out while attempting to race to the shower. But man, those cold showers were paradise. Nowadays, I make sure my kids have available air conditioning 24/7. No, it wouldn’t kill them to experience a little or cold every now and then, but based on my experiences of being without a heating and cooling system, I prefer that they don’t. My kids don’t realize how lucky they are to have a working heater and A/C machine, because otherwise they would probably be doing all of the same things my siblings and I once did.

Mixing up my workouts

I’ve realized that it’s important to change up my workouts.

  • If I strictly run every single day, I end up with very sore feet, ankles and knees.

If I choose to ride my bicycle for physical activity, I neglect the muscles in my shoulders and arms. Lifting weights doesn’t provide any type of cardio workout. I now vary the types of exercises I do each day of the week as well as within the training session. I workout every single morning, for approximately an hour. I always start with a dedicated warmup. I take the time to rotate my shoulders, hands and feet. I circle my arms and hips and stretch my legs, arms and back. I typically take a few minutes to skip, jog in place or engage in a low intensity cardio activity to get my muscles arm. I then pick up the pace and either run, bike, jump rope or do burpees, mountain climbers or burpees. To target the legs, I complete a series of various types of lunges and squats. I devote some time to lifting weights and make the effort to concentrate on all the different muscle groups. I workout with two-pound, four-pound and eight-pound weights. I have a yoga mat that I use for abdominal crunches and push-ups. At the very end of the workout, I focus on balance and flexibility. I perform static holds and go through splits and straddles. I am always on the lookout for new styles of exercises to incorporate into my workouts. I’ve found that by mixing things up, I’ve seen greater results.

When I was a little girl, I loved jumping rope.

  • I had a very plain nylon rope with plastic handles, and I used it constantly.

Once I got to be a teenager, I no longer jumped rope. Now that I’m an adult, I’ve gotten back into it. I’ve figured out that it’s a great way to burn a lot of calories in a very short amount of time. Jumping rope helps to improve core strength, stamina and balance. I find that it’s fun to practice and achieve new skills. For a few years, I used a leather jump rope with weighted wooden challenges. I got frustrated with the rope tangling, knotting and fraying. Because of these complaints, I researched different types of ropes. I found a really innovative jump rope system that utilizes weighted ropes. I can attach the same set of handles to a quarter-pound, half-pound, one-pound and two-pound ropes. Removing and attaching the ropes to the handles by way of a metal clasp is quick and simple. The ropes rotate very smoothly, which has made the different jumping skills much easier. This new jump rope system has allowed me to jump longer and faster. Plus, the system included a free app I downloaded onto my smartphone. The app provides guided workouts at a beginner or advanced level. The workouts last anywhere from twenty to forty minutes, utilize various weights of rops and include other exercises such as mountain climbers, burpees and squat jumps. At the conclusion of the workout, the app tells me how many calories I burned.

Running is my favorite workout

I’ve read that it’s important to drink water prior to the run as well as afterward

One of my favorite ways to workout is to run. I like the simplicity of it. I don’t need a bunch of specialized equipment. It’s not necessary to drive to the gym. As long as I have decent weather, I can run. I can adjust the exertion level by the length of the run, pace and the route. If I choose to run an incline, I burn more calories. I also try to beat my personal best for the number of miles I run or the speed. I have an app on my phone that allows me to track my runs. The app provides a record of all of my runs and also offers real-time information. As I’m running, a voice interrupts the music through my headphones and tells me the distance I’ve covered, time and my average pace. It’s a great motivator. I’ve realized that to get the most benefit from my runs and to avoid injury, I need to take the time to complete a proper warmup. I rotate my ankles, wrists and hips. I circle my arms, work my neck back and forth and stretch my various muscles. I do some lunges, squats and usually walk at a quick pace for a bit. At the completion of the run, I take the time to properly cool down. I make hydration a priority. I’ve read that it’s important to drink water prior to the run as well as afterward. I’ve also realized that my sneakers are extremely important. I purchase a new pair every year and spend a bit more for a good quality running shoe.

I am a certified fitness expert.

I work five days a week and I give multiple classes a day.

I can teach yoga, crossfit, spin, kickboxing and do private physical training classes. I typically handle a whole group of students, but I do have a few private sessions that I do. I don’t count my work as my exercise for the day either. After or before work, I do an hour work out on my own. I rotate between cardio, weightlifting and balance training. I always stretch before and after my workout too. I ride my bike to the gym and ride it home. That doesn’t even count as my exercise either. On the weekends I typically go swimming at my friends house or go kayaking on the water. That is just for fun though. I am a very physical person and I am built well. I need to be in my line of work. It is always annoying when someone finds out what I do though. Everyone loves to act like an expert on fitness. They love to tell me what they do or how I could work out better. Do they not realize that I am on top of it fitness wise? I subscribe to fitness magazines. I research the best way to work out all the time. I also follow MMA fighters, gymnasts and other professional athletes to see what they do workout wise. I know just about every way you can target a muscle. I have even graphed people’s progress with the workouts. I don’t want to hear about some juice diet that helps you drop ten pounds in two weeks.
