I absolutely love our local library. They always have the most wonderful temperature control settings no matter what time of year it happens to be. I especially love how they decorate the building for all of the holidays and seasons of the year. They have a really nice kid section for the youngsters to enjoy reading books, and they have a really nice section for the adults as well. I love how there is a gas fireplace that is extremely comfortable to read around. I always try to get a spot nearby the fireplace as I enjoy the perfect temperature control settings in the building. I am easily able to drift away into a good book and I can go hours without realizing it. It’s just because the temperature control settings are perfect and typically the library is quiet so nobody bothers me. That was until recently when this young lady asked if she could relax next to the fireplace nearby where I was sitting. I told her I didn’t mind and then she was curious about the book I was reading. She was already familiar with the author of the book and she said she read reviews about the book. I told her it was a good story so far and I was looking forward to finishing it. I told her how I loved reading next to that fireplace because it made me feel so relaxed. She ended up telling me she had a gas fireplace back at home and she felt the same way about reading in front of the fireplace. We both seemed to agree that it was the only way to dive into a great book! She invited me over for dinner and we started dating. Now I love reading in front of her fireplace.

 

New HVAC technology

I’ve been to a lot of weddings and I’ve never been too impressed with most of the venues.

The thing that I mostly pay attention to is the climate control system.

I want to know if they have a good air purification system and if they get regular HVAC system maintenance. I can’t always get that information at different weddings, but I can usually tell if there is an air purification system working. When our son was getting married, his wedding venue was the best I’ve ever been to. I didn’t mind helping him cover the cost for the place. It was decorated very nicely and the temperature control settings were fantastic. They were even able to tell me about their UV air purification system which works to get rid of dangerous pathogens and even mold spores! That was easily the most comfortable wedding I have ever attended and I was happy to get out there on the dance floor for a change! My son has good taste in music playing songs from Stevie Wonder and traditional wedding songs like the chicken dance. I actually was able to have a good time. In other places I would feel too overheated with the lack of air conditioning or it might feel overly stuffy in a venue, but I was able to dance through the night with our son and his bride which was a great experience. Soon they will be going on their honeymoon on a cruise which my wife and I are paying for! I hope they have as good of a time as we all had on their wedding night with awesome climate control and everything.

Cooling technology

The people I was with and I haven’t used our Heating plus A/C plan since winter.

The Springtime hot plus cold temperatures around here are just perfect plus I see it as a wonderful time to save on some electricity so I open the windows when it is hot plus I turn on the heated blanket when it is cold. Well it finally got hot enough for plus my family was cheerful about it. That is, until every one of us noticed that half of the condo is not getting any chilly air at all. The home office, kitchen, hallway, plus powder room all have chilly air. However, none of the study rooms have any air conditioned air at all plus neither does the storage room. My husband called up an corporation plus they came out to check out the situation. Apparently every one of us have a family of foxes residing under our house. The professional said he could aroma them as soon as he opened up the crawl space. Additionally, he could heat the little kits making noise. He also said it is likely that the foxes, or other animals, damaged our ductwork under there. However, every one of us have to get rid of the foxes before the tech goes under the condo to fix it. The people I was with and I could call out a trapper to relocate the foxes although I honestly don’t want to do that. I would rather wait a few months for them to grow up plus go away by themselves. After all, baby foxes need a arena to live too. The people I was with and I can get a strong window for a few months if every one of us have too.

I have been having a hard time getting a current HVAC installed.

I have known from the get-go that our apartment would be challenging.

The previous owners just had a window air conditioning component plus space furnaces to keep the apartment comfortable. Both of us have a mediocre climate here so that is doable, but however, it is not ideal. With pets, I don’t like to leave space furnaces running unattended as it is not entirely safe. Additionally, I like to be cold at night, especially in the summer. So 1 window air conditioning was not going to chop it. No. I needed central heating plus air. I had an HVAC provider come out to the apartment plus supply myself and others an estimate. The worker started inside of the house. He found the perfect locale for all of the air duct, vents, plus even for the utility closet. The problem arose when he went outside to find a locale for the compressor. My apartment is on a bit of a hill. And, because of the water in this area, our apartment is built even higher up. This poses a problem because the compressor needs to be, more or less, level with the house. The HVAC worker said he would need to talk to his supervisor plus get back to me. That was over 2 weeks ago plus I still have not heard anything back. I tried calling twice in that time plus no 1 has gotten back to me. So now I am working with another HVAC supplier plus they are suggesting building stilts for the compressor. I guess that would work. I just hope they suppose what they are doing.

HVAC home services

It is consistently hard to get out of bed in the day but this day was the worst.

The reason for this was because it was so cold in our living room.

I knew that I had left the gas oil furnace on all night long, and after all, I do all of the time this time of year. So why was it so cold? I was toasty moderate plus comfortable under our thick covers plus it took several sixths plus a lot of willpower before I was able to force myself to get out from under them. I knew I had to check on the oil furnace plus I had to go to work too so I abruptly got dressed in the warmest clothes I could find after that both of us went downstairs plus checked the thermostat. It learn 48 degrees! No wonder I was so uncomfortable; My thermostat was supposed to be set to 71 degrees. I tried messing with the thermostat by turning it on plus off, changing the temperatures settings, plus even turning it to air conditioning then back to heat… Nothing worked. My oil furnace would not start up; Finally I called up the oil furnace business that I usually use. I had to spend our money a bit extra for an emergency visit even though I was blissful to do it. I also called out to work plus then sat around our cold apartment waiting for the oil furnace workers to show up. I guess I would have rather been at work. At least there it is consistently moderate plus comfortable. My oil furnace did end up getting fixed, but, plus I ended up warming up some myself, in time.

I had so many questions that I called the HVAC company and had them send over an HVAC technician. When the HVAC technician arrived, he looked at the furnace and the air conditioning unit. He told me he had a new HVAC system in the showroom that had a higher efficiency than what I had even when my current was first installed. He showed me air conditioning units along with furnaces. I told him I didn’t want an entire HVAC system. All I wanted was a new furnace. He said we bought the furnace and air conditioning units at the same time. It would save me money to replace both at the same time. Normally, the air conditioner has a shorter lifespan than the furnace. I had no problems with my air conditioning unit and I couldn’t justify purchasing a new one. After several hours of trying to tell him what I wanted and didn’t want, he told me that when I made a choice to call the office; he left.

I was talking to our neighbor the other day, and she asked if I had seen the new HVAC technician? I told her I hadn’t even seen the old HVAC technician in quite a while.

• To be honest, I had heard nothing from our HVAC company in quite some time.

She looked at me oddly and looked like she was deep in thought. She then nodded and said that she hadn’t either. We looked online to see if we still had a local HVAC company? We had an HVAC company, but over the last couple months, a new owner had taken it over. They had pictures of the HVAC technicians that serviced our area, along with information on each of their qualifications. The website went into detail about all the services offered by the company and what certifications and licenses they had in the company. My neighbor/best friend was still busy looking at the pictures of the HVAC technicians while I was trying to discern all the information on the website. I nudged her and told her she should read this information. It sounded like this new HVAC company was going to be ten times better than the old HVAC company. She nudged me back and asked if I had seen this new HVAC technician? She pointed at one guy in particular. I had to smile as I looked at the face in the picture that was as familiar as my own. She was gawking at my twin brother. I couldn’t wait to get home and call him. I couldn’t believe he had become an HVAC technician without saying a word to me.
