When my boss mentioned going to a toil conference, I wasn’t exactly ecstatic with the idea.

I tried to get out of the assignment, however my boss actually wanted myself and others to go, then he sent myself and others plus more than one other Heating & A/C businesss to the conference.

The main point of the conference was to discuss innovative ideas on using solar plus geothermal energy to heat plus cool homes plus businesses. I didn’t guess the information on solar heating plus cooling was going to be that extramodest. One fantastic thing about the conference was the fact that it was held in the heart of the neighborhood in a place that I had not visited in the past… At the end of the afternoon when all of the educational seminars plus classes were over, I had lots of time to explore the city. I went to a couple of weird museums plus art galleries. I also visited several of the local places that are standard to my friends plus family. I took a lot of pictures plus posted them on my social media page. My boss sent myself and others a message a couple of days after I arrived. He wanted to guess if I was spending all of my time visiting museums plus tourist destinations. I assured the guy that I was using my time efficiently when all of the classes were over at the end of the afternoon. Honestly, I skipped a couple of classes, however I had one of the boys sign my name to the ledger plus sign-in sheet plus no one will ever know.

I know that hospitals typically have a tendency to leave the thermostat at a cooler setting so that the central air conditioner stays on, but this was different.

It was the middle of the winter, and I was pretty sure when I walked in that the furnace was broken.

Now, everyone knows that hospitals have a tendency to be colder. Hospitals always keep the temperatures on their thermostats at a colder temperature. Apparently, colder temperatures help to prevent the spread of bacteria and infection, and colder temperatures also help surgeons and doctors to do their jobs comfortably and more precisely. However, the central air conditioner shouldn’t have been on during the winter, and there was no way that the hospital would have set their thermostat to this temperature. The temperature inside the hospital building was definitely close to 40 degrees, and it was freezing. I had an appointment, and apparently, they were not canceling appointments because of the broken furnace. They did offer to reschedule because of the broken furnace, but my appointment couldn’t wait, so I had to come. They didn’t even bother to tell me that the furnace was broken. When I walked in, I took off my coat, but I immediately put my coat back on. They apologized about the furnace, but I still had to endure the colder temperatures for over an hour because of the broken furnace. I hope that the HVAC technician fixes that soon, because I have another appointment later in the week, and it would be terrible if the furnace was still broken.

I just purchased my brother a new gas furnace, & I even paid the Heating & Air Conditioning specialist that he usually hires to have the gas furnace installed.

Honestly, I don’t expect to hear so much as a thank you from my brother, but I’m sure he knows that I am the one who had this furnace installed in his home, despite the fact that he and I have not spoken in years.

My brother and I used to be like best friends, but we had a falling out when we were in college. He and I did everything together, but he started getting involved with some dangerous situations. He was experimenting with different drugs and was not acting like himself. I gave him a dozen chances, but after a while, I had to cut out his toxicity in my life. Apparently, he has changed, & he has been trying to reach out to my family and I to ask forgiveness, however I haven’t had the heart to talk to him. However, when I found out that my brother’s gas furnace broke, I decided to do something. While my brother & I haven’t talked and I still have a lot of anger towards him, I can see that he has changed and is actually clean for good this time. I know I will talk to him and support him when I am ready, but that’s not always easy for me to express in words. Instead, I expressed it in action because I cannot just leave him without a gas furnace. With the help of a local heating and cooling specialist, I paid for a new gas furnace to be installed. Originally, it was supposed to be a surprise, but the Heating & Air Conditioning specialist mentioned my name. I really am not sure if my brother and I will ever get back to our former relationship, but I am glad I was able to get this furnace for him and show that I do still care.

 

Whole home heating

I’ve been inside most of the day searching for my hiding cat and cooking breakfast.

I went shopping too but that was also inside so I think it is about time to go venture down to the beach for a spell.

I have a small blue beach chair that I can attach to my bike so it makes hanging at the beach in the sand a lot more comfortable and relaxing. I think my friends are going out soon to have a picnic so maybe I will join them. They are from France and are a cool couple to hang out with. I need to get a leak repair service on the phone first though because we have some problems in our building. I don’t think my cat likes the dripping water that is coming from the ceiling and falling onto it’s bed, cats and water don’t mix too well. The drain line service company down the street said they can come out and fix it tomorrow if someone will be home so I guess I will be stuck inside tomorrow to help them out. Most of the people in my building work all day in offices so I am the one who will be here to help them when they come. We’ve had plumbers come out here a few times for leaks on the roof and some problems with the water heaters leaking and I was the one who let them in. I have a lot of free time so I think it helps the busy office workers if I meet the workers coming here.

My new pet cat found its home in my bathroom now.

First, it was hiding in the bedroom under the bed.

Then, it hid in the living room under the sofa. After that, it hid under my office daybed for a day or two. Then, it was hiding in my bedroom under the back corner of my bed. And now finally, it’s shacked up under my sink cabinet in my bathroom. I’m glad that it is getting to enjoy the whole house. It needs to find a spot in the kitchen next and that would cover all of the rooms. Maybe it could hide in my tankless hot water heater if it can find a way. This cat is a magician I swear. I was looking for it in my tiny flat for about 45 minutes until I found it under a small pillow on the sofa. My plumber friend told me that it could take months until the cat is comfortable enough to let me pet it. I was hoping for a nice friendly fluffy little cat that I could pet right away but maybe this cat was brought here to teach me patience. I may just have enough patience now to do this leak repair that I have been putting off for so long. Maybe the cat can teach me how to do that too, or just do it himself. He seems to be smart enough. I did some pipe cleaning last week and the water flow is much better now when I am taking a bath. All is well, now where is that cat?

I am supposed to be getting a couple million dollars soon when my stepmom is gone and don’t really know what I would do differently.

I only work a few hours a week in a low stress writing job after quitting my online kid’s teaching job of four years.

That was a lot of work and it took a lot of energy from me and in the end I was completely burned out from teaching kids. Now my life is quite simple and I have everything I need or want so what would I do with two million dollars? I may buy a tankless water heater and get it installed by a professional plumber, that’s one thing I could do with some of the money, haha. I am also going to guy things for friends like I did recently when I bought new professional volleyballs for all of my volleyball friends. Maybe I can hire a plumbing service instead of fixing it myself now that I will have some money soon but that is about it as far as spending the money. I think the three keys to happiness are simple; have what you need, do what you love, and help other people. Or maybe calling an emergency plumber when your sewer line is clogged to avoid doing it yourself. So yeah, that is what I will do with the money; I’ll help other people and help myself by calling someone who knows what they are doing and saving me the headache. My friend is a plumber and he would appreciate my business I’m sure.

• I am going to the beach in a few minutes to relax with my friends, if they are out there today.

It is quite slow here during the winter and sometimes when I go to the beach I am the only one there. In the summer there are about 350 people on the same vacant winter beach. I may leave this area for a couple months in the summer and go home to visit my family. It gets too crowded here and it is tough to relax with people on every street corner. We have a problem with the drains and sewers in my house in the states and I think we need to call a plumbing company to come out and assess the situation. I think we may need to put in new sewer lines for the whole house because I think they are 90 years old now and have tree roots growing in them all of the time. We constantly have to have drain cleaning down to remove the tree roots which are catching the toilet paper and causing backups and clogs. It is not a fun job and I know it is going to cost a lot of money but if it isn’t done soon I will have no more tenants paying rent. The one tenant said he was good at doing drain line service and repair but I don’t think he realizes the scope of this project. I think it would take four men a month or more to complete it.

I’ll be getting money today or tomorrow and if it keeps diving a bit in price I could really make a good buy.

I think I would need to buy it today or tomorrow before it takes off on another climb up again. I am just waiting for my stepmom to drop the money in my bank in America. I don’t want to ask her about it as it is an inheritance from my dad. Patience is the key to almost everything in life. I think I will focus on a gas line repair I need for my kitchen’s water heater because there has been a problem with it. I also think I should go to the beach for a while and just clear my head of all of this money thinking malarky, it’s so ridiculous how we worry about things that really don’t matter in the big scheme of things. I have a few plumbing repairs I could do around the house and that should help me stop thinking about cryptos for a while. I’ve never been so addicted to something like cryptos but I guess it adds some excitement, like gambling, when life gets dull. I could help my friend with a sewer line repair at his house but I think I would rather go to the sea and skip euros across it than clean a sewer line. Maybe he should just call someone and cough up a few euros, and get it done right and done fast.

My poor new pet cat is still so scared of me after being here for over a week.

I don’t know if it was abused or if it is just freaked out from being moved to a new place.

I think I would feel the same way, so I guess it just needs time to get used to this place and me. It’s a small black cat with big green eyes, looks like an owl and is good at escaping and hiding, so I named it Hoo. Maybe one day Hoo will finally love me like I love it already. The plumbing contractor told me this morning, when I called him saying the cat has escaped my house, that there are many places the cat can hide. I finally found it hiding under one of the pillows on the sofa when I almost crushed it by leaning on it. I think the plumber is right about giving the cat time and just letting it eventually come to me. It’s been hiding under the sofa for over a week and what if years go by and it just lives under my sofa, what kind of a pet is that? I think the drain in my bathtub is getting clogged with cat hair because it is draining slowly and I see a bunch of black hair in it. I guess he likes the bathtub because he feels safe in it. Luckily, I have two bathrooms so we both have our own. I also have a problem with my hot water heater but I don’t think it’s the cat’s fault.

This is my 30th year of playing beach volleyball and my shoulders finally need some outside help. I was planning on getting surgery on both of them which would cost me about $7500 cash since my insurance doesn’t cover it, thank you, but now I will try one last option. I contacted a physical therapist in my village to see if they can help me. I’ve never gone to one, always done it myself, but now I feel I need someone who might know how to fix them. I would be so happy if they could do it and avoid surgery. I could spend that money on plumbing repairs and air conditioning servicing, two things that I am not good at doing myself. I think I would even give a $100 tip to the therapist if they can heal my shoulders without me needing to get cut open by a surgeon. My plumber told me about the therapist and said she is really good with athletes and getting them back into their sport quickly, which is exactly what I am hoping for. This summer will be my 30th year of playing and my parents are coming overseas to visit me. I would love to play for them one more time. They are doing drain line repairs now in my street and hopefully will be done before my family visits because it is very tough to get to my door right now with all of the trucks and barricades around the street, what a mess it is! I am glad I’m not a sewer line repair guy.
