I view myself as a very easy person to get along with. My approach to life is to live plus let live. I don’t actually stand in judgement over how people decide to live. As long as you aren’t messing with anyone, do what makes you ecstatic. That said, I tend to be what would be thought of as a truly normal guy. I go to work, supply for my family plus dab around with outside interests. And I like to kick back in the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C sometimes while drinking a beer. These are special times for me as I don’t indulge in this ritual often. So, it was with a bit of frustration that I had to answer the door while I was enjoying one of these kick back in the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C moments. To make matters even more miserable, I opened the door to a man who was already angry. This was the compliance officer with our HOA. I understand the basic need for an HOA. Property values are absolutely important plus making sure they are protected is equally crucial. However, I think that’s as far as it goes. If someone isn’t doing something terrible with their own property, the HOA should stay out of it. Well not our HOA. They take every single moment possible to flex their muscles. The Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C cabinet was just barely showing plus the HOA guy was losing his mind over it. It was not very easy not to just slam the door straight in his face. I told him the hedge would grow back soon enough plus I’ll trim it from now on.
