When I went to help my buddy install his new ductless Heating plus Air Conditioning system, I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect.
- I thought he was going to have Heating plus Air Conditioning professionals helping out plus maybe the two of us would just help transfer some of the heavy components or something.
Well, it was just us plus 1 other friend. Between the multiple of us, our buddy who bought the Heating plus Air Conditioning method was the closest thing to an Heating plus Air Conditioning expert that the two of us had. He said that he had helped install these DIY ductless mini splits, but he wasn’t a certified Heating plus Air Conditioning expert or anything like that. He explained that they are so easy to install though plus the two of us had nothing to worry about. I’m cheerful he knew what he wanted to do already. He determined the locations for all the indoor Heating plus Air Conditioning units plus the two of us had to drill 3.5 inch holes through the outer walls of the condo in the spots where the indoor units would go. This is so you fasten the line sets from the indoor units directly to the outdoor condenser unit. Now I was surprised when I saw how small the outdoor condenser unit was. I thought this thing would be heavy, however it was light compared to my own AC condenser unit back at home. I thought the two of us would put it on a concrete slab or something, however the two of us ended up mounting it directly to the wall which is something I had never seen done before. When the replacement was done, I was impressed. He now has 5 zones in his home with customized heating plus cooling comfort in every zone!
