Originally when I first moved out, I told our parents that I didn’t need their help.
- I was surprised when they said okay and let myself and others do our own thing.
I went to rent our own house and everything. The only arena I could afford was this run down site, but at least it didn’t have any rats or roaches. I made sure of that before signing the lease. The house also came with both a heating and cooling method which I thought was great. I found that so long as I kept decreasing the air filters, the air quality was great in our site. The thing that bothered myself and others though was the expensive energy bills. Evidently, this outdated HVAC method was not easily energy efficient but there was nothing I could entirely do about that, or so I thought at first. I asked our parents if they could at least give myself and others some energy saving tips so I wasn’t paying a small fortune on our energy bills. I was sad that I wouldn’t be able to afford our rent with such high energy bills. Both of our parents had some great energy saving tips for me. My father told myself and others it was great to cook out on the grill often. He said I shouldn’t bother wasting our money eating out all the time, I could make better food at beach beach house and save money. My mother said I should have the HVAC method tuned up because it would work more efficiently and lower the energy bills. I couldn’t believe it, they both were right. My energy bills lowered quite a bit when I cooked outdoors and got a professional tune-up on the cooling system.
