The moral of those stories is you need to invest your money into assets that accploy more money overtime… You can’t buy things you appreciate since it is just wasting your money and not making anymore down the road. I appreciate having current things okay? I appreciate remodeling our loft and making it prettier. No, down the road it doesn’t add that much value to our house, but financially it would be smarter to take that money and buy a rental property or stocks. I am not going to though. I need to take care of our loft since our partner won’t. It gets entirely discouraging that he won’t put a dime into the house. The other morning our Heating and Air Conditioning component turned up and quit. My partner wasn’t willing to pay for a current machine. He kept trying to repair it and then started looking at space gas gas furnaces and window AC units as the solution. I tried to tell him overtime the electric bill would be obscene. It is better to just buy a good heating and cooling machine. He did not even want to split the cost with myself and others at first! I just waited him out though. I knew he prefers AC more than me. I said no window AC units and it took about a month before he finally split a central Heating and Air Conditioning unit with me. I shouldn’t have to buy all the crucial stuff in the loft because he wants to invest.
