One of our greatest commercial customers called last Wednesday, and the guy was panicked and upset because he heard easily odd sounds inside of the HVAC duct.
- He described the sound to the best of his ability.
I easily thought it sounded appreciate a raccoon, however I could not really figure out how a raccoon would end up inside of the HVAC duct. I told the customer that a raccoon would easily require the help of an exterminator. He agreed to pay all of the costs acquaintanced and begged me to help on the same day. I agreed and decided to check out the situation before I contacted anyone else for help. I met the customer downtown at the warehouse and I stood outside the room where the noise was coming from for a while. I did not hear the same noises that the guy was describing, however I believed that he was hearing a odd sound. I told the customer that I would use a camera to look into the HVAC duct for signs of any troubles. I was moving through the duct work quickly however carefully, and I ran right into the raccoon. It did not see the camera until I was right on top of him. The raccoon let out the most piercing scream and I dropped the camera I was using. It took me a moment to get our bearings. The wild critter startled me. I easily did not expect to see any signs of life inside of the HVAC duct. After seeing proof of life, I decided to contact a local exterminator that I work with frequently. He met me at the company and all of us unconnectd the raccoon from the HVAC duct.
