Okay well, I did my taxes for the past three years and hopefully calculated it correctly.
Sent it overnight to the IRS so I hope they forgive all the years I missed before due to no employment.
I barely scraped by from 2008 to 2022 and now I got some relief from my dad’s will. He worked his whole life in the real estate market and accrued over five million dollars in real estate and a few million in the bank. I’m lucky I had a rich and generous dad because the past 15 years chasing comedy have sunk me financially. I can now afford a plumber or carpenter if I need one instead of doing it myself but I would still rather give it a shot first and feel good about being able to do it. I’ve had lots of experience fixing things and a degree in mechanical engineering so I like a challenge. I did my own tankless water heater installation last year and it wasn’t even that bad actually. I did a lot of painting as I owned my own painting business for ten years and we ran into a lot of plumbing leaks that ruined the walls so I learned how to fix them instead of the owner having to call a plumber along with myself the painter. It made them happy having me fix it because they knew me somewhat and trusted I would give them a fair deal. Not to say that plumbers don’t give fair deals too but it’s just easier when I am already there and know how to fix it.
