Working as an independent heat and cooling system worker is occasionally quite the headache. Especially when you get called for a heating and air conditioning repair job and the lady you are working for gives you the wrong instruction to their site! This happened to me the other week. I had a buyer call to have their central heating and air conditioning repaired and they ended up giving me instructions with a wrong turn off on the road. I ended up getting lost plus spending 2 hours to get to someplace that should have taken me no more than 30 minutes to drive to. I was fortunate that we were in the era of the cell phone. If this had been back in the afternoon it could have been way worse than it was. I called the buyer and had them give me the proper instruction. Because of this mishap in their area I ended up charging them an extra 50 dollars for getting me lost and the extra travel time! They totally understood and did not argue with me on it. When I finally arrived the repair of their central heating plus air conditioning plan was thankfully an easy one, and so I was able to be in plus out of there in about 40 minutes. Things care about this happen occasionally, and when they do you constantly need to be prepared, but always have a cell phone with you and never be afraid to charge more if they get you lost. After all, that is not your fault but the fault of the buyer causing you the extra gas and road time.
