I wasn’t initially planning on being an HVAC professional

It was some time ago when I put in a job application at a local HVAC company.

  • I honestly was planning to save up enough money to afford going to an official college.

I didn’t want to have to get student loans, I wanted to pay for everything up front, no matter how long it took for me to save up the money. Well, things changed in my mind when I realized how much I enjoyed working with the team of professionals at the HVAC company. Everybody kept asking me why I didn’t go for my HVAC certification. They said I would be a natural with my glowing personality and kind nature. They also said how I could make a sizable amount of money without going to school for 4 years. Instead it would be between 6 months to 2 years depending on what skills and knowledge I wanted to obtain, but to get certified I could do that in about a year. Upon hearing all that information, I decided that I would think about it. I still wasn’t even sure what I wanted to do other than this career, and so I decided it couldn’t hurt. I could make my money as an HVAC professional and if I wanted to still attend a regular college, I could! So I went to school and I learned so much in that year up until my official HVAC certification. Everybody at the HVAC company was happy for me and they said I was going to be one of the best HVAC professionals around. They were right, I enjoyed the work immensely and I knew so much more about HVAC repair and services than I did when I initially started on the phones.
