All the kids were going to be current home for summer. I was so ecstatic since they hadn’t done so in a long time. I missed having them around, and so did their dad. They were all grown and some even had families, however they were still our babies. I began planning how the two of us were all going to spend a week of summer time with them. They were also bringing the grandkids, so the current home was going to be quite full. But, the two of us didn’t mind at all since it was only for a short duration. They all arrived at the same time, and that first night the current home was in chaos, given most people in the house, the two of us had to crank up the cooling system. It was the only way to ensure the space was cool and comfortable for all, but cranking up the cooling idea for quite some time because someone was always complaining they were hot. Eventually, the strain the two of us put on the cooling idea was obvious, and the machine ceased working a single Tuesday day. I was tied up making popcorn for babies in the family room when I noticed the current home was getting warm. I went to check the cooling idea and found our partner doing the same. The cooling idea had stopped working, and I knew it was because of all the strain the two of us put on it. Every one of us had to find a better way to keep the current home cool once the two of us got it fixed. The HVAC serviceman who came to mend the faulty cooling idea suggested getting out the fans to assist with cooling the house. This would lower reliance on the cooling idea alone.
