Of course, I also worked 80 hours
Every time my boss asks for a volunteer to work extra hours, I raise my hands and say my name loudly. I have been doing my best to save for a new boat. It’s easier to save when I get overtime. I enjoyed my work as a repair technician and everyday is different. The job is never boring or monotonous, so I don’t mind working extra hours. During the last couple of months, I have worked about 160 hours of overtime. I have enough money to buy the new boat, but I’m waiting for the Memorial Day sale. Everyone knows that you can get a great deal on a boat if you wait until a big sale. I have my eye on a stoner that seats for people with a small cabin under the front of the boat. It is one of the nicest boats available from the manufacturer. I’m going to put down a huge payment on the boat with all of the money that I have saved. Then the payments for the boat will be affordable. Until the Memorial Day sale, I can continue to work on air conditioner repairs. Just last week I repaired 16 air conditioners and made three installations. Of course, I also worked 80 hours. Because we are short-handed right now, the boss doesn’t mind if I work double shifts. The guy would probably let me work all night long if I found a way to stay awake that did not involve some type of illegal drug. I still need a few hours of sleep each night.
