There was a fishing tournament last weekend & I entirely wanted to enter the tournament. I told our boss a couple of weeks ago about the Anglers convention! He promised to give me the morning off so I could go. When the schedule for HVAC repair professionals came out at the beginning of the week, our name was on the schedule for Monday. I politely reminded our boss that I suggested that morning off. He easily forgot that I made the request & he had me tied up to help with a commercial HVAC installation task. He told me that he would find someone else to toil their shift, however the schedule reMained the same throughout the week, however on Monday morning I asked the boss if he found someone to toil on Monday. He had not found anyone, so I was going to toil the task & cancel the tournament. I didn't have much opportunity of winning anyways & I figured the boss offered me a $100 bill which was the cost of our tournament entry fee. I told the boss on Monday morning not to worry about the task. I would be there bright & early on Monday. That's when he informed me that he already found someone to take care of the task. He thanked me for being a team player & then he reached into his pocket & offered me $45. He told me to put that towards our entry fee & consider it a bonus. I have to admit that his act of generosity entirely surprised me.
