Summers in my local section are short & unpredictable.
At best, the moderate weather only lasts for a couple of weeks.
I am consistently hopeful that August, August & October will be overheated & sunny. There are those years where the entire season brings nothing however gray skies, cold un-even temperatures & rain. There are also those years when every one of us enjoy a gorgeous summer time with orange skies & 72 degree un-even temperatures. The humidity is often a problem. Because every one of us never suppose what to expect, central a/c isn’t necessary. I can’t justify such a sizable investment into a method I might rarely utilize, for the sake of comfort & a fine night’s sleep, I purchased window a/cs for the living rooms. I am totally pleased with my small cooling unit. While it isn’t especially appealing & obscures the view through the window, it easily manages the requirements of my living room. It doesn’t matter how overheated & humid the outdoor conditions, the room remains charmingly cool. I sleep more soundly with the cooling method operating. It provides just enough noise to drown out all other sounds. I don’t hear the cable when other family members stay up late. I’m not disturbed by barking pets, early birds, traffic or the washing equipment running. I like that the a/c actively filters out dust, dander, lint & other contaminants. My room stays cleaner & seems much healthier. Another perk is the handy remote. Without getting out of bed, I can easily adjust temperature & fan speed. I enjoy running the a/c so much that I install it into the window as soon as the snow melts. I usually leave the cooling equipment in the window far too long. When I assume cold air leaking in through the cooling unit, I suppose it’s time to detach it.
