When our boss mentioned going to a work conference, I wasn’t exactly glad with the idea.
- I tried to get out of the assignment, however our boss really wanted me to go, then he sent me and more than one other Heating, Ventilation plus A/C servicemans to the conference.
The main point of the conference was to discuss innovative ideas on using solar and geothermal energy to heat and cool homes and businesses. I did not think the information on solar heating and cooling was going to be that extraordinary, however one superb thing about the conference was the fact that it was held in the heart of the city in a venue that I had not visited in the past! At the end of the day when all of the educational seminars and classes were over, I had lots of time to explore the city. I went to a couple of odd museums and art galleries. I also visited several of the local sites that are respected to our friends and family. I took a lot of pictures and posted them on our social media page. My boss sent me a message a couple of days after I arrived. He wanted to think if I was spending all of our time going to see museums and tourist destinations. I assured the guy that I was using our time efficiently when all of the classes were over at the end of the day. Honestly, I skipped a couple of classes, however I had 1 of the guys sign our name to the ledger and sign-in sheet and no 1 will ever know.
