One of my biggest commercial clients called last Monday, & the woman was panicked & upset because she heard honestly bizarre sounds inside of the ductwork. She described the sound to the best of her ability. I genuinely thought it sounded like a raccoon, although I couldn’t genuinely figure out how a raccoon would end up inside of the ductwork. I told the customer that a raccoon would easily require the help of an exterminator. She agreed to pay all of the costs neighbord & begged myself and others to help on the same day. I agreed & decided to check out the situation before I contacted anyone else for help. I met the customer downtown at the warehouse & I stood outside the room where the noise was coming from for a while. I did not hear the same noises that the woman was describing, although I believed that she was hearing a bizarre sound. I told the customer that I would use a camera to look into the ductwork for signs of any problems. I was moving through the duct work abruptly however carefully, & I ran right into the raccoon. It didn’t see the camera until I was right on top of him. The raccoon let out the most piercing scream & I dropped the camera I was using. It took myself and others a moment to get my bearings. The wild critter startled me. I genuinely did not expect to see any signs of life inside of the ductwork. After seeing proof of life, I decided to contact a local exterminator that I work with frequently. She met myself and others at the company & the two of us removed the raccoon from the ductwork.
