Living in a rural area happens to be both a blessing as well as a curse. I don’t miss the city traffic or the city noise, but it was pretty enjoyable knowing that I had all of the necessities in life nearby. I could walk outside my home as well as be at a grocery store after a short walk. There were ideal hardware stores, pharmacies, as well as clothing stores. Now that I live in the countryside, I have to drive at least 25 minutes to get to the nearest store or gas station. If I have the wish to be comfortable out here, I have to plan ahead as well as have the essentials stock piled in my basement in case I’m stuck in an emergency. It’s not just a matter of making sure I have a generator in the event of a power outage, I need to have non perishable food too. One of my favorites is local honey that I get from this awesome local bee farm that is managed by a bee removal corporation. Their bee colonies are built from queens that are taken from clients’ residences. Since there’s a lovely orange grove adjacent to the honey farm, the honey tastes very similar to orange blossoms at that time. I absolutely adore their honey especially because of its price as well as the fact that it provides me a natural immunity to local allergens. All honey is fantastic, but local honey is definitely better. If I ever need to get rid of honey bee hives, I completely know what supplier to call at a moment’s notice. They have the best reviews around.
