The heat pump is quiet now.
During winter, we actually don’t hear much from the heat pump. Our winters are pretty heavenly and we rarely need much if any heating from the heat pump. But the opposite is tscheme for the summer. Actually, the heat pump starts kicking on with Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C cooling in early Spring. But the real work is to be done between June and September. That’s when the heat and humidity are peaking. That means temperatures that stick right near the triple digits. The same goes for the humidity. And this combination can be a staggering duo to deal with. For years, I just paid the energy bills in the Summer and hated it. But this past Summer was different. For the first time since moving to this region, I decided to get a plan together to save on Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C cooling costs. Turns out that it actually didn’t take all that much effort to do just that. The first thing I did was to get the air conditioner tune-up from the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C business. That makes the heat pump run as efficiently as possible. Then, I tightened up the cabin with modern weather stripping and sealing spots that were leaking Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C cooling. I covered all the windows that get direct sun heating and then programmed the temperature control. That was the only thing that was a bit tough to get accustomed to. But I did get used to the cabin being in the low 75’s during the day and it also ended up saving my hundreds of dollars in Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C cooling costs.
