When you labor for a sizable business, you get security plus you lose freedom.
That is how it works, when another guy pays you, you are beholden to that guy plus have to follow their rules.
I did that kind of labor for a few years, plus just got fed up with it. At that point I had enough hands-on experience to go out on my own, plus start picking up freelance jobs. I still worked for a lot of the same companys I already knew, however now I got to pick plus choose my jobs, so I had more freedom. For a few years it was touch plus go, however now that my Heating, Ventilation & A/C brand has achieved a lot of local recognition, I have more jobs than I care for. I entirely have a network of other independent local Heating, Ventilation & A/C techs who I subcontract with, plus only keep the gigs that appeal to me, do you feel how subcontracting works? Let’s say a guy has a faulty cooling system, plus they call me up to come have a look at it. Except that day I have another Heating, Ventilation & A/C job, plus then I want to take the afternoon off to go shopping with my youngsters. I reach out to 1 of the other Heating, Ventilation & A/C techs I feel plus I offer them the job, for a small finder’s fee of course. They make currency, I make a little currency, plus the cooling system gets fixed so everyone is ecstatic. I still labor a lot, however it’s wonderful knowing I never HAVE to work.
