Moving in the winter

I don’t think there is a single person on this planet who enjoys the process of moving, but when you have to pack up all of your belongings, put them in boxes, and relocate them across any distance, then things get truly chaotic and tumultuous, and it’s even worse if you are traveling across states or differing weather conditions. I recognize this is something that I completely forgot about when I was arranging my most recent move. In my weather conditions, the winter time air temperature is always seriously mild and comfortable. You can really wear a sweatshirt everyday and turn off your central heating, cooling, and ventilations entirely. You absolutely don’t have to worry about operating a forced air gas furnace or a powerful cooling system because you can rely on natural ventilation for the entire winter! However, I never considered that I was going to be moving to truly different weather conditions. In fact, I was going to be relocating my stuff to a snowy, icy, cold region of the country. I did not even realize that I had made this fatal flaw till I started driving in the moving truck towards my final destination and snow started hitting the windshield. I really had to turn on the heater in the truck and it was having a hard time keeping up with the cold air that surrounded us. When I finally reached my new home, I didn’t even want to get out of the warm vehicle. It was so cold outside that I did not think I could carry a single box without getting frostbite. Three weeks later, the moving truck is still resting in the driveway and I haven’t left the central furnace.
