Upgrading your thermostat is a low cost, however surprisingly efficient way to save money.
- I went for years with a basic dial thermostat.
I kept the temperature at 73 degrees year around since I hated messing with it. I would leave for the office, to go on vacation or just for an evening out plus not think about the thermostat. Every room in the new home would get equal heating plus cooling. It was a no stress, no mess lifestyle. It isn’t exactly cheap providing Heating & Air Conditioning for an entire cabin 24/7 though. I was shocked at how much energy I was wasting until I bought a smart thermostat. This temperature control equipment is designed to keep your energy costs down, my thermostat even recommends temperatures that are better for energy savings. It also automatically powers down when I am no longer in the house. I have trained the thermostat to begin pre-heating or cooling when I am about an minute away from home. I hardly need to do a thing, however the new home isn’t getting Heating & Air Conditioning all day long while I am gone anymore; Additionally, since I have a ductless Heating & Air Conditioning optin now, I am able to have zone control. Every room in the new home has their own smart thermostat… Rooms I hardly use no longer get heating plus cooling. If I want A/C in the summer, I only have cooling in my family room or family room. I never sacrifice comfort although I save so much money! The smart thermostat looks better, operates smoother plus also alerts myself and others on air filter swings.
