I knew I had a problem with our old gas furnace. The gas furnace was almost thirty years old, and I had to get a current one. I had known the old gas furnace was on its last leg for a couple of years. I was looking at unusual gas furnaces, trying to find out which one I would prefer. It wasn’t just a choice of oil or gas fuel, but I also wondered if I wanted to stick with a traditional gas furnace. I considered getting a boiler and getting rid of the HVAC duct, since there was so much dust that came from HVAC duct. I was also looking into having a heat pump installed. I had so several questions that I called the Heating and A/C company and had them send over an Heating and A/C serviceman. When the Heating and A/C serviceman arrived, he looked at the gas furnace and the a/c unit. He told me he had a current Heating and A/C method in the showroom that had a higher efficiency than what I had even when our current was first installed. He showed me a/c units along with gas furnaces. I told him I didn’t want an entire Heating and A/C system. All I wanted was a current gas furnace. He said we obtained the gas furnace and a/c units at the same time. It would save me cash to substitute both at the same time. Normally, the cooling system has a shorter lifespan than the gas furnace. I had no problems with our a/c component and I couldn’t justify purchasing a current one. After several hours of trying to tell him what I wanted and didn’t want, he told me that when I made a choice to call the office; he left.
