I view myself as a relatively straight-forward lady to get along with.
My approach to life is to live as well as let live pretty much.
I don’t stand in judgement over how people choose to live their lives. As long as you aren’t hurting anybody, do what makes you happy. That being said, I tend to be what would be considered a fully normal lady. I go to work, supply for my family as well as like a few outside interests as well. And I care about kicking back in the HVAC every once in a while as well as enjoying a beer. These are various special times for me as I don’t indulge in this ritual entirely too often. So, it was with a small amount of frustration that I had to answer the door one night while I was enjoying one of these kick back in the HVAC moments. To make matters even worse, I opened the door to a lady who was especially angry. This was the compliance officer with our HOA. I understand the basic need for an HOA. Property values are imperative as well as making sure they are protected is certainly important. However, I think that’s as far as it goes. If someone isn’t doing something absolutely egregious with their own property, the HOA should honestly stay out of it. Well not our HOA. They take every single chance to flex their muscles. So now I had this angry lady on my front stoop because my child had inadvertently cut a few inches too much off the hedge. The HVAC cabinet was hardly showing as well as the HOA woman was totally frustrated about it. It was taxing not to just slam the door in her face. I told her the hedge would grow back in a month or so as well as I’ll trim it moving forward.
