No one could force them to change the settings on their thermostat

Ashley hates feeling chilly in a department store because of how low they set their thermostat in that store? When she heads out, the heat and humidity are unbearable as if it was an animated object.

Ashley walks down the sidewalk, and goes into another department store that is almost as hot as the outside.

Ashley has noted that store after store after store, all have varying thermostat settings. When she finishes shopping, her body does not know if it’s supposed to be cool from a/c, or hot from the sweltering heat of the sun. Ashley often wishes that department stores had a universal rule for thermostat setting. That way, she’d be sure of the kind of temperatures she was walking into regardless of what department store she was entering. It’s the same way Ashley knows what kind of temperature she’s going to experience when going outside. Ashley is aware that this can’t apply to the small mom-and-pop shops. It won’t make sense to force them to change the settings on the thermostat. Ashley is thinking about the sizable stores in the malls. While the main area may be comfortable, the department stores all have their notion of where the thermostat should be set. Ashley guesses that corporations have their ideas of thermostat settings in an effort to save money. Her concern is when their thermostat settings clash with those of the mall’s thoroughfare. Their thermostat could be interfering with that of the mall. While trying to maintain a constant temperature, the thermostat is either trying to heat or cool to what is in the thoroughfare
