I wish they forced stores to have a universal thermostat setting.

Have you ever walked into a store, and shivered because of how low they set their thermostat in that store? You walk outside, and you feel the heat and humidity assault you as if it was an animated object.

  • You walk down the sidewalk, and enter another store that is almost as hot as the outside.

It seems that store after store after store, all have different thermostat settings. By the time I am done shopping, my body doesn’t know if it is supposed to be cool from air conditioning, or hot from the sweltering heat of the sun. I often wish that stores were forced to have a universal thermostat setting. You would know what kind of temperatures you were walking into regardless of what store you were entering, just like you knew what kind of temperature you were going to experience when going outside. I know that if you’re talking about small mom-and-pop shops, no one could force them to change the settings on the thermostat. I’m talking about the big stores in the malls. Although the main area may be comfortable, the stores all have their idea of where the thermostat should be set. I’m sure that corporations have their ideas of thermostat settings in an effort to save money. The problem is when their thermostat settings clash with those of the mall’s thoroughfare. Their thermostat could be warring with that of the mall. While trying to maintain a constant temperature, the thermostat is either trying to heat or cool to what is in the thoroughfare.
