Some nights are too hot to rest so I sneak out of the house and go swimming.
The cool water in the pool always brings my temperature down enough that I can relax. There is air conditioning in our home, however my room was an add-on to this property. With it being an addition, I never quite get the regular amount of air conditioning or heating in my room. Since the pool is right outside of my room, I feel safe going out and slipping into the cool water on those sultry nights when I wish I had nice air conditioning. Every summer season, I speak to mom and dad about having a separate Heating and A/C plan installed into my room suite. They put it off for a couple of weeks, the extreme heat of summer season passes, and the Heating plus A/C plan matter is forgotten. This year, I didn’t want to go out and get into the pool. The sidewalk was boiling on my feet and getting out of the pool cooled then running into a boiling humid room, didn’t make me happy at all. Instead, I woke my parents up and told them I was calling the Heating and A/C dealer the next day. I wasn’t going to go another day without nice air conditioning in my room. Their tired reply was to ask me if I wanted to move into a spare room where the air conditioning worked better? I shook them awake and said that would be nice for tonight. However, it would be the only night I’d be moving out of the room because of lack of air conditioning.
