Trying to figure out what temperature to set the thermostat at

I have a newborn baby, and I will confess that I am having a hard time setting the temperature control.

  • When it was just my wife and me, the temperature control was entirely straight-forward to set, I never genuinely thought about the temperature control much in my house.

My wife and I had the same temperature preferences, so we simply needed to schedule the temperature control and let it run, but we liked the temperatures to be warmer while in the afternoon and cooler while in the evening. After setting the schedule, the only thing that we had to do with the temperature control was ensure that it was either on heat or cool depending on which season the two of us were in. Now that we have a newborn, everything has changed, and I don’t know how I feel about it. When I talked to the doctor about the newborn, she said that I should consistently set the temperature to whatever temperature we normally liked, she said that it is natural for parents to want to set the temperature too high in fear that the baby is going to be cold, and that this makes it hard for babies to sleep. Even though I heard this, I still am afraid that my baby is too cold. The two of us didn’t adjust the temperature control much, but we did set it to a higher temperature just in case, and I assume that the baby enjoys the warmer temperature. Now, the only problem with my temperature control setting is that I am uncomfortable. Now, the temperatures at night are much warmer, and it makes it hard to sleep.
